Photo Essay - The cool things round me

Introduction

  I stayed at KMLA for 3 weeks, and I found a lot of interesting things around this place. All of the places in here was keeping a Korea's tradition. Houses were designed in old Korea way, and all the people in here only spoke English. To show what I have seen to you, I decided to take photos of this place and write essay about It. Now, these are 7 photos that I took in last 7 days.

This is a photo of Minjok building. It is made out of wood and in way of old Korea. In summer, it is very cool inside even though they don't use air conditioner in the building. 

This is a photo of a pure-blue sky. In cities, they don't have a sky like this. The sky in cities are dark and groom with all the dirt and cloud. However, In here, the sky is so beautiful and clean.

This is a photo of a bench in front of a English building. The tall woods make shade for the people sitting on the bench. It is really nice when we sit down on the bench and talk or play games

In the picture, there are three poles. They hang the flag of Korea and flag of their school on here. It is very high and is made out of steel. Doesn't It look like a podium?

The sleepers are mine. When we go into the Minjok building, we have to take off our shoes. Even the rock stairs look cool in here. I liked how my sleepers looked on the rock stairs, so I captured the scene. 

There are many pine cones on the ground of dried grass. They are from the big-tall pine trees. I haven't seen this much of pine cones being together. 

Finally, this is a photo of a rock wall. It is located between the Minjok building and English building. I can feel our own Korea's spirit from here. And It is really fun to climb it over.

 These are the cool things around me. I could feel the fresh air and Nostalgic feeling from these traditional Korea buildings. Even though I have shared it with you by picture, I hope you can see it for real. Come to the KMLA if you have any chances during the summer!!!!

My creative story

  In one village, there was a hunted house. People said that once a family lived there, but they all got killed mysteriously and polices couldn't find the crime. The adults in the village always kept their children not to go to the house and they were afraid that their child might go near to the house. There lived a twins called Jay and Jasmin. They were always breaking other people's stuff, and teased their friends.

  After repeating that for 10 years, Jay and Jasmin were In love with each other. They knew that they can't fall love with each other, but they couldn't press against that feeling. The love between them grew stronger and bigger as the time went on.

  One day, their friend named Alex told them a interesting story. He told him about the hunted house, and said that there was a murder  in there. Of course, they got curious. They asked about the house to their friends. However, there was a limitation to that. The children's  parents didn't let them know well about the house, so it was really hard to get a effective information from them. And when even tried to speak about the house, their parents would shut them up. Because of these, they really wanted to know about the house even more and more.

  It was then when Jay had a great idea in his head. He ran to Jasmin to tell her the great idea he had got. He told her that they should go to the hunted house themselves, and experience what happens in there. But Jasmin didn't want to go. Even though she was curious, she was too scared to go to the hunted house. She told him that she was scared and that if she get caught, she will be in a big trouble. Amazingly, Jay said yes to her. So Jasmin had been not aware of that issue.

  The days have been passed by, and It was 3 days later when Jay told Jasmin about going to the house. That time, Jasmin was doing her homework. Than, she heard the sound of the gate getting opened. She peaked outside through her window, and saw a surprising thing. Jay was sneaking out with his backpack. It only took a few minutes to realize what was happening. She ran outside, and ran to Jay. But he was gone already. She ran straight to the hunted house. The house was very big. But it didn't seem very good because it was dark and looked like a dead house. As she gazed the door, She knew she was right. Jay was in front of the creepy door with the blood on it. Jasmin called for a Jay. But Jay couldn't listen to her, and he went in. Jasmin went in to the door too although she was scared. The house was really dark and dirty inside. She said 'Jay?'. The voice echoed. 'boom!!!!!' she almost passed out with the side. Well she had better passed out. The door was closed!! she ran back, but found out that the door was locked. She was trapped. Wait...... Walking sound was made........It got closer and closer......down the stair........getting closer closer......now in front of me!!!! She stood still. She didn't even breathe..... than she saw.....

The Princess Bride

The Genre of a movie, The Princess Bride, is romance, adventure and action.

  The story starts with grandpa visiting the boy's house because the boy is sick. He introduce a book named 'The Princess Bride' to the boy, but at first, the boy was not interested about the book. However, as his grandfather goes on, he really gets in to the story and hold his grandfather and even beg for him to read the book. 

  Now to start with the story of the book, the story is about that princess loves a farm boy, and the farm boy leaves for a job because he doesn't have any choice and leaves his love alone. He promises to come back. However even as the time went on and on, Westley didn't come back to the princess. Five years later, still, Westley didn't come, and the king made the princess marry with with evil prince. One day, the ㅔ갸ㅜㅊㄷㄴㄴ

My three goals

  My goals for 30 days, is to, first, I want to be better at my English abilities during this camp. Next, I want to gain lots of weight while in this camp. Finally, I want to make various friend from various places. I thought Matt Cutt's Writing a novel and hiking the mountain of Kilimancharo was very interesting, because doing something you always wanted to do looked really cool. Now back to my own 30 goals.

  First, I want to be better at my english ability, So I will have to read lots of English books and study with the textbooks which our teachers gave to us. In that way, I will be better at my English when I get out of this camp and get higher scores on tests and exams in my school.

  Next, I want to be heavier when I'm done of this camp. I think I am too thin and small, So I have to eat a lot of healthy foods like vegetable, meats and fruits. I want to be at least 50 kilograms and be taller just about to 165 centimeters. That way, when I play sports, I will be stronger at body fight.

  Finally, I want to make various friends from various places. For examples, my roommates, are from Busan, Daegu, Anyang, Seoul. So when something happens that I have to go around these places, I can get help from them and things much easier for me to do. These are my 30 goals for next 30 days, and I hope I can achieve them and will work hard to achieve them.
 

  My name is Baek Jong min. I am from Seoul, Korea and I am fourteen years old now. I am from class 16, and I have three unique things about me.
  First I wrote seven in my textbook because seven is my lucky number. I was born in July, and when something is related to seven, it has been done very well. I also like how number Seven looks like.
  Second Chelsea is my favorite soccer team. I like how Chelsea play passing strategy and I also like their teamwork. My favorite soccer player is Fernando Torres, who is playing striker in Chelsea and Spain national team right now.
  Finally, I like the word wing because of various reasons. one, I like chicken, and my favorite part in chicken is wings. Two, my position in my school soccer team is right wing, So that's why I like wing. Three, I wish I have a wing. That way, when I am late to school, I can fly and I won't be late.
  These are three unique things about me, and I hope you got to know about me.
